Microsoft Office to ERP Connectivity

This client wanted to automate the production and logging of artefacts from their ISO9001 QMS system including letters, certificates, status reports

What was the challenge...

This client came to us without a solid requirement but for advice on managing compliance against ISO9001. An ISO monitoring audit found they had low rates of compliance for artefacts and documents they were required to produce and asked if we could help them.

What did we do...

We performed our own audit against the Quality Management System (QMS) with this client to understand what the root cause of the non-compliance was and based on this created a set of recommendations. We assisted the business in implementing these changes which included amending the QMS processes and procedures to make it clearer what artefacts were required when, created and delivered training to staff, and finally created a suite of Microsoft Office application extensions that would allow direct access to QMS artefact templates and prepopulate based on a user entered job number. Finally we reaudited the company to ensure effectivity of training and process/procedure adherence.
